Open the patio doors in the living room and take in clean fresh Devon air, listen to the birds singing in the trees and admire some of the beautiful views, which stretch from Dartmoor to Exmoor. The wonderful bright and spacious living area at The Garden Cottage is elegant and contemporary with clean white walls, stylish furniture and lots of character.
The large double sofa with colourful cushions is a great place to sit back and relax with a good book or a glass of wine. You can also watch the TV, take advantage of the WiFi, or, if you prefer, play a competitive game of chess.
The dining area is ideal for relaxed breakfasts or romantic meals. The pine topped table and two chairs are nice and comfortable and just the right size for meals for two without feeling cramped.
Dashes of bright blue and pink wonderfully complement the crisp white walls in The Garden Cottage bedroom. This stylish room is large and spacious with a nice big window, which allows plenty of daylight to sweep in across the room. The comfy king-size bed guarantees a good nights sleep and in the morning draw back the curtains to reveal the pretty views of the garden and countryside. There is also plenty of storage space for holiday clothes with a big walk-in wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror and vanity unit.
Like the rest of The Garden Cottage the bathroom has been carefully designed and beautifully fitted with good quality fixtures and fittings. The wood-effect floors offer the room a nice country feel while the white walls give the whole bathroom a sense of space and light. The bathroom, includes a big shower with sliding doors, basin and loo, there is also a heated towel rail to make sure your towel is never damp, and a large mirror with shelf.
Bright white walls beautifully complement the dark work surfaces and cream units in The Garden Cottage kitchen. This perfectly sized room has everything you will need for creating breakfast, lunch or dinner, and a romantic meal can easily be cooked in this well-equipped kitchen. Despite its quirky shape, the kitchen has made full use of the space available with plenty of pots, plates and cutlery stored in the drawers and cupboards. Features installed in the kitchen include an electric oven with four ring hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer, there is even a gravy boat and toasted sandwich maker supplied.
The Garden Cottage has a beautiful garden filled with gorgeous colourful flowers. In the spring see the daffodils come to life as the banks turn yellow with their sunny appearance and, as the year continues, you can watch the cyclamen create a sea of pink and red. The local birds, including goldfinch and woodpeckers also enjoy visiting the garden and are very pleased to see some sunflower seeds in the feeder.
The patio area outside the living room is where you can sit back and enjoy the garden from the lovely table and chairs, which are also the perfect place for alfresco meals or summer evening BBQ's. A nice wooden bench allows you to admire the views or turn the pages of a classic novel, and a pair of sun-loungers are provided for those long summer afternoons. You can also take a leisurely stroll around the larger lawned garden to capture the best of the countryside views.
